Fatty acids
The fatty acids along with proteins and carbohydrates are the 3 groups of macronutrients. Despite their bad reputation, they are essential for the proper functioning of our body.
Features include:
In the same way that excessive consumption of fat can lead to aesthetic as well as to health problems , a deficit also compromises our performance.
CLA: Conjugated Linoleic Acid -> Go to the store section
CLA is a fatty acid produced by the intestinal flora of ruminants . It is present in veal meat and cow milk. This type of fatty acid has important benefits in body composition, since it decreases fat mass and preserves muscle mass. It is ideal for both men and women looking to have a firm and defined musculature.
OMEGA 3, 6 and 9 -> Go to the store section
Omegas are a type of essential fatty acid, meaning that the body does not synthesize them and therefore we have to ingest them. This type of fatty acid supplements has great health benefits and becomes an essential complement for all athletes, whether amateur or professional.
Features include:

Amino Acids
Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins and consequently of muscle mass. One way to classify the amino acids is based on the way they are obtained.
Essential Amino Acids -> Go to the store section
All the amino acids that we need to ingest through diet are called "essential amino acids" and these are: valine, leucine, threonine, lysine, tryptophan, histidine *, phenylalanine, isoleucine, arginine and methionine * essential * only for children. Those athletes with high physical wear and who do not have a balanced diet should supplement their diet with these amino acids to prevent injury and improve their performance. Whereas those which the organism can synthesise are called "non-essential", and these are: alanine, proline, glycine, serine, cysteine, asparagine, glutamine, tyrosine, aspartic acid and glutamic acid.
Amino acids are necessary for:
Glutamine -> Go to the store section
Glutamine is a nonessential amino acid that has great relevance in the world of sports. This is the most important amino acid in the muscle and it decreases significantly after intense exercise.
Correct levels of glutamine:
Inosine -> Go to the store section
Inosine is not an amino acid, but a nucleotide, althoug included in this section.
Inosine increases ATP production capacity, which improves strenght, allowing more power in each training weight and thus more rapid muscle growth.
Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAA) -> Go to the store section
Among these amino acids, valine, leucine and isoleucine stand out. Branched amino acids are basic for those who exercise regularly, since they reduce the muscle protein degradation that occurs during training and at the same time they increase the synthesis of new proteins.
The lack of branched amino acids is associated with central fatigue.

Weight enhancers
Products intended for gaining weight consist mostly of carbohydrates. The composition also may include proteins in different concentrations.
The purpose of these products, as the name suggests, is to increase the weight and body size. Thanks to their high content of carbohydrates, they are insulin-sensitizing and allow nutrients to more easily enter cells.
The weight enhancers are particularly suitable for people who have a very fast metabolism and a very slim physique. If instead we seek to define or trim the muscles, protein-based products low in carbohydrates will be the best suited.

Bars
There are many types of bars:
These products are particularly convenient, allowing us to provide our bodies with the nutrients they need, anywhere. They also have a delicious taste.

Creatine
Creatine is a nitrogenous organic acid that is synthesized in the liver from the arginine, glycine and methionine amino acids. They are also found in small amounts in meat and fish. It is a direct source to regenerate ATP and provide energy to muscle cells.
Creatine can increase strength and potency, and it also increases muscle mass. For this reason creatine is highly consumed by power athletes. However, taken in low doses it improves performance in endurance sports.
The classic way of administering creatine comprises a charging phase (for 4 to 7 days a higher dose should be ingested for loading muscle stores), followed by a maintenance phase. To enhance the absorption of creatine, it is recommended to take it along with food rich in carbohydrates, such as apple juice or a banana.
Kre-Alcalyn -> Go to the store section
This type of creatine has a pH of 12 versus other types of creatine with a more acid pH. This feature prevents conversion to creatinine and increases absorption.
It also presents other advantages:
Ethyl Ester -> Go to the store section
Creatine Ethyl Ester is a salt type of creatine that has been esterified using a particular alcohol such as ethanol or methanol.
This type of creatine has all the benefits of increasing the level of strength, power and muscle mass but using lower dosages than with other types of creatine.
Monohydrate -> Go to the store section
This type of creatine is in no doubt the "Queen of Creatine." It ss the supplement used by athletes who want to increase their performance.
Creatine monohydrate is used in most scientific studies. Its molecule contains 88% of creatine and the rest is water, which provides stability.
Mixed creatines -> Go to the store section
Other types of creatine are:
The different types of creatine may be presented individually or mixed together to enhance their effects.

Energy products
These products are designed to provide extra energy in the short or long term depending on its composition. They are ideal to confront both physical and mental efforts.
They are divided into several categories:
Isotónic -> Go to the store section
Sports drinks are formulated based on carbohydrates and mineral salts. Indispensable before, during and after practice of cardio workouts.
In this case, it is recommended to drink about 500ml of isotonic drink in small sips before beginning the activity. During the activity, ingest about 100ml every 20 minutes and at the end of the workout, keep drinking until the thirst is gone.
Also, they are highly recommendable to consume during power workouts when we aim to increase muscle volume.
Energy and endurance -> Go to the store section
These products contain

Carbohydrates
Carbohydrates are one of the three macronutrients groups along with proteins and fats.
The main muscle fuel during long duration workouts is glycogen (which is the form in which sugar builds up in the muscles). So carbohydrates are an essential part in any sportman/woman´s diet, particularly on endurance sports such as swimming, running or cycling.
Not only our muscles feeds on sugar, this is also food of first choice for our brain.
The main sources of carbohydrates in our diet are cereals, bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, beans (although they also contain lots of protein), fruits and vegetables.
The type of carbohydrate chosen in each moment must depend on its complexity (simple and complex carbohydrates) and its glycemic index (rate of release of sugar into the blood).

Nitric Oxide
Nitric oxide precursors are among the most potent supplements to increase strength.
Nitric oxide acts as a vasodilator, allowing more oxygen and nutrients to reach the muscle.
During the workout, you will increase muscular congestion and therefore get a larger volume.
When we consume these products, we may notice a slight heat sensation produced by the vasodilator effect. In order to counteract this effect, we recommend taking any food rich in carbohydrates together with the nitric oxide precursor.

Pre and post-workout
Pre-workout:
Such products are designed, as the name suggests, to be taken before workouts. Thanks to its active ingredients, they improve strength, energy and concentration, letting you take your workout to the most suprising limits. This way, you can lift more weight or perform more reps and improve your performance and muscle volume in record time.
Post-workout: -> Go to the store section
Proper recovery is essential for proper adaptation to exercise. Products designed for after training contain the right ingredients to restore muscle fibers, to resume training as soon as possible and avoid injury.

Prohormone products
Hormones play a crutial role in the adaptation to the workout.
The main hormones involved in this function are:
The pre-hormonal products are natural compounds that stimulate the hormones related to muscle anabolism.
HMB -> ->Go to the store section
The Hydroxy Methyl Butyrate is a compound that synthesizes our body from the amino acid leucine. HMB supplementation reduces protein breakdown, increases muscle mass and strength. Highly recommended for those athletes who work to very high intensities of sports of strength and endurance, both to increase strength and volume, and to prevent injuries.
Testosterone -> Go to the store section
Tribulus terrestris is a plant with a high content of phytosterols, flavonoids, alkaloids, glycosides and saponins.
Tribulus stimulates the production of testosterone, a key hormone for increasing muscle mass.
This plant also has benefits in sexual activity, increasing power and improving libido.
ZMA -> Go to the store section
ZMA is a combination of zinc, magnesium and B vitamins.
This product stimulates the synthesis of testosterone and IGF-1 (insulin growth factor 1) which in turn is related to the synthesis of growth hormone.
Moreover, its ingredients bring another set of benefits to the body:
The ZMA should not be consumed together with dairy products because calcium blocks the absorption of zinc in the stomach.
Back to index
Proteins
Proteins are one of the macronutrients along with carbohydrate and fat.
Its functions include the formation of structures and tissues (such as muscle mass, hair, nails, etc) and boost the immune system.
The main sources of animal protein are meat, fish, egg and milk whey protein; among vegetable protein, soy and nuts stand out.
Depending on the type of exercise you do, the amount of protein must change: sedentary people...0.8 g protein / kg body mass. Endurance sports... 1.8 g protein / kg body mass. Strength sports... 2.5 g protein / kg body mass. A lack of protein leads to muscle loss, sagging, excess of body fat, slower recovery and lack of energy.
Not all types of proteins are equal. The higher biological value (grams of protein that the body absorbs per gram of protein intake) the higher the quality of the protein is.
According to the goal you seek, or the time of day, you should take one or another type of protein:
Whey Isolate -> Go to the store section
Milk Whey Protein Isolate
Two main milk proteins: casein and whey proteins.
Biological value (BV) of the milk whey protein is superior to any other protein.
The supplements of isolated proteins, are characterised by containing between 85% and 90% of such protein.
These are rapidly assimilated protein, ideal to consume before and right after training, as these amino acids need to arrive as soon as possible to the muscle to facilitate its growth and repair it.
Also for those athletes looking for musculature as much defined as possible.
Whey Concentrate -> Go to the store section
Milk whey proteins concentrate
The concentrated protein supplements, are characterized by containing between 30% and 85% of such protein.
Such products contain a higher proportion of carbohydrates, so they are suitable for those seeking greater weight gain.
Soy protein -> Go to the store section
Soy protein is a complete protein, with high biological value within vegetable foods.
This type of protein is recommended for those who can not consume animal protein, either due to allergies or intolerances or for cultural reasons as in the case of vegetarians and vegans.
Casein -> Go to the store section
Sequential proteins are a mixture of whey concentrate with other proteins such as casein and / or albumin.
The effect of this is a mixture of proteins both fast (good for before or after training) and slow assimilation (ideal to release nutrients gradually during periods when we do not consume food, as during the night)
Mixed proteins -> Go to the store section
Besides the whey concentrates and isolates of proteins and sequential soy, other products are found, which combine the previously mentioned types and occasionally they add egg proteins such as ovalbumin.

Fat Burners
One of the main concerns of sport men and women is to have a defined and fat free body.
There are many products available on the market that can help us to get it, but not all of them act alike.
Appetite Control -> Go to the store section
In this section, we have products that work by blocking part of the sugars that we eat and thus preventing them from becoming fat.
L-carnitine -> Go to the store section
The L-carnitine is an amino acid that favors fat oxidation and favors its use as a fuel during exercise.
This amino acid acts as a transporter "taking" the fat out of the cells and bringing them into the bloodstream, which also has a positive effect on cholesterol and triglycerides.
L-carnitine also has beneficial effects for the performance of those who practice aerobic sports.
Thermogenics -> Go to the store section
Thermogenic supplements are the ultimate fat burning.
They act by activating the basal metabolism (calories burned at rest). It is stimulating and products among their ingredients are caffeine, green tea, bitter orange, pepper derivatives and sometimes certain algae.
For best results it is recommended to consume before workout and on an empty stomach, but always with common sense and taking into account that if ingested from a certain time, they can make us become sleepless.

Health and Wellness
We are increasingly aware of the importance of feeling healthy and vital. One goal increasingly present among people who do exercise is stay healthy and feel good about themselves.
To this end, we have a wide range of supplements.
Antioxidants -> Go to the store section
Antioxidants are those that have the function to eliminate free radicals from our body.
Free radicals are molecules that cause aging. They occur as a result of cellular oxidation and increase in case of strenuous exercise.
The main antioxidants are found in fruits and vegetables, but due to the pace of life we live and the manipulation that food undergoes, we need an extra intake of these substances to ensure proper intake.
The main antioxidants include vitamins A, C and E, or essential fatty acids like omega 3 or 6.
Stimulants -> Go to the store section
This section provides products to improve the sex life of both men and women.
Based on natural ingredients, as the Andean Maca, Tribulus or Ginkgo Biloba, we can recover both appetite and sexual potency that we often lose, caused by the fatigue and stress of everyday life.
Protectors -> Go to the store section
An unbalanced diet, excessive alcohol consumption or protein intake or high intensity training can cause the liver to be unable to purge all the substances that are filtered through it.
An overloaded liver is unable to adequately synthesize the amino acids to form the muscle proteins. So, in times of high physical wear, we should take these products, which at the same time that they protect our liver, they facilitate the detoxification function that this organ has to perform.
General Health -> Go to the store section
In this section we find different supplements for the care of:
Joints: when performing a high impact physical activity such as a race, our joints suffer. The products to regenerate articular cartilage and prevent its degradation are very effective in these cases.
Cholesterol: soy lecithin is a natural product which possesses very interesting properties for regulating levels of cholesterol and triglycerides. Hair and nails: due to poor nutrition and lack of certain vitamins and minerals, the hair and nails are weakened. The use of natural supplements can restore the shine and strength that they had before.
Vitamins and minerals -> Go to the store section
Vitamins and minerals are essential micronutrients that act as regulators of many metabolic functions. They are essential for the correct functioning of the body.
In theory, we should ingest sufficient doses of vitamins and minerals through feeding, but due to excessive handling of food, this is not always the case.... Also in special situations such as physical exercise or stress, we need higher amounts of certain vitamins and minerals.
Back to index
Food substitutes
Food substitutes are designed to provide the calories, macronutrients and vitamins and minerals neaded in a meal.
These products are very useful in different situations:
When there is no time to eat or when we are not at home.
When we want to control our weight: all products intended for this purpose provide all the nutrients needed with very little calories.
When we have to get extra calories without feeling too full or heavy.

Vitargo
Vitargo is one of the brands with more experience in sports supplementation.
Its products are mainly formulated with carbohydrates and are designed for elite athletes. Vitargo products help replenish muscle glycogen.
Thanks to its formulation, these products do not cause digestive discomfort or heaviness or swelling.
Vitargo + creatine -> Go to the store section
To ensure proper absorption of creatine, we must combine it with a product rich in carbohydrates.
Vitargo plus creatine is the perfect formula to reap all the benefits
These products are particularly suitable for those looking for an increased muscle strength and volume.
Vitargo + minerals -> Go to the store section
During workout we must pay attention to the replenishment of water, energy (in endurance sports) and mineral salts lost through sweating.
Whether you perform cardiovascular or power exercises , we will benefit from this contribution. To make the most of it, we can follow this pattern:
Cardiovascular exercise: use before, during and after training.
Endurance exercise: consume during training.
Vitargo + protein -> Go to the store section
Recovery is one of the key aspects to improve performance and to increase muscle mass.
After a hard training we must nourish our muscles to be ready again as soon as possible and avoid injuries.
Products based on carbohydrates and a not very high amount of protein are great for this purpose. They should be consumed within 20 minutes after workout to make use of the metabolic window and maximize nutrient absorption.
Pure Vitargo -> Go to the store section
The Vitargo original formula is based on carbohydrates with a chemical structure similar to starch (long chain carbohydrates)
This makes Vitargo degradation to be slow and it does not cause stomach upsets, while providing power both the short and long term.

Volumizers
Volumizers, as the name suggests, are supplements designed to increase muscle volume.
They usually have a mixed formula based on proteins, carbohydrates and other active ingredients to enhance strength and increase muscle mass like creatine, HMB, tribulus, nitric oxide precursors, etc.
The best time to consume these products is within 20 minutes after training. This period is known by the name of "metabolic window", when the body is most receptive to nutrients and when we can make the most of them.
